Position Overview: Merchandiser

As a Merchandiser at Artistic Milliners, you will be at the forefront of driving future business developments and ensuring the seamless execution of pre-production timelines. This multifaceted role requires a dynamic individual who can navigate the complexities of the garment industry, from managing the critical path to coordinating approvals and overseeing the bulk production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Critical Path Management: Take charge of the Time and Action (TNA) plan, ensuring that pre-production timelines are meticulously managed for optimal efficiency.
  2. Approval Processes: Obtain approvals for fits and washes, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with quality and design standards.
  3. Testing Coordination: Coordinate testing activities to guarantee that products meet the highest quality standards before entering mass production.
  4. Factory Collaboration: Issue necessary files to factories, participating actively in pre-production meetings to address any concerns and streamline processes.
  5. Sample Dispatch: Manage the dispatch of samples in accordance with customer requirements, maintaining a commitment to excellence in every detail.
  6. Program Oversight: Oversee stitching and washing programs, ensuring that they align with quality benchmarks and customer expectations.
  7. Raw Material Management: Maintain a sufficient and organized inventory of raw materials for sampling, anticipating needs and ensuring availability for smooth production processes.
  8. Timely Production: Play a pivotal role in ensuring timely and efficient garment production, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Textile Engineering, is required to bring a solid foundation to this role.
  • Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity, demonstrating a deep understanding of merchandising processes.
