Key Responsibilities

As the Manager – Corporate Affairs, you will be responsible for ensuring that Al Habib Asset Management Ltd adheres to the legal, statutory, and corporate governance requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Board & Shareholder Meetings:
    • Assist the Company Secretary in organizing Board and shareholders’ meetings.
    • Prepare agenda papers, notices, and other relevant documents for these meetings.
  2. Compliance Management:
    • Ensure the company and its funds are compliant with the Companies Act, Code of Corporate Governance Regulations, NBFC Regulations, CDC Regulations, and other applicable laws.
    • File necessary documents and forms with relevant regulatory authorities such as the registrar, PSX, etc.
  3. Legal Collaboration:
    • Work closely with legal counsel to address any statutory and legal matters related to the company.
    • Draft contracts, agreements, and any other legal documents related to the company’s activities.
  4. Document Management:
    • Circulate notices, minutes, and allied documents from board and general meetings to directors and shareholders in a timely manner.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, the ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or a related field from a reputable university.
    • Professional qualifications such as Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) or similar credentials are a plus.
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience in corporate governance, legal affairs, or a similar role.
  • Location:
    • The position is based at the Head Office in Karachi.
