The Role – Your Responsibilities

As a Lead EHS Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our project sites. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:

Safety First: Your primary responsibility is to ensure safe practices at our project sites. You’ll be the guardian of our team’s wellbeing.
Risk Assessment: You’ll conduct thorough risk assessments for project activities and create risk mitigation plans. Safety is your priority.
Fire Safety and Evacuation Planning: Develop fire safety plans and evacuation strategies for our project sites. You’ll be the one to turn to in case of emergencies.
Permit to Work: You’ll assure and verify the safety protocols for project activities, making sure all necessary permits are in place.
Documentation and Approvals: Proper documentation is key. You’ll be responsible for obtaining approvals from government departments to ensure compliance.
Safety Equipment: Ordering and maintaining all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fire safety equipment for the project site.

Qualifications and Experience

We’re looking for a Lead EHS Engineer with the following qualifications and experience:

Education: A BSc in Engineering (Environment, Mechanical, or Electrical).
Experience: You should have 4 to 5 years of experience in Health and Safety. Your experience will be invaluable in this role.
Certifications: NEBOSH certification and the implementation of ISO 45001 are a plus. They demonstrate your commitment to safety.
Knowledge: You should be well-versed in EHS, Safety, Project Management, and Risk Mitigation.
Communication: Good presentation and communication skills are essential, as you’ll be working with various teams.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
