MCB Bank Ltd., a leading financial institution, is currently looking for a Senior Manager Security Operations Center to join their Risk Management Group in the Information Security Division. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of Pakistan’s largest banks and contribute to its security operations.

Job Overview:

The Senior Manager of the Security Operations Center (SOC) will be responsible for overseeing the bank’s security operations, ensuring the protection of information systems, data, and network infrastructure from security threats. This position requires someone with a strong background in cybersecurity, information security, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Operations Management:

  • Oversee the operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC) to ensure continuous monitoring and protection of the bank’s information systems.

  • Coordinate incident detection, response, and remediation to minimize security risks and threats.

• Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

  • Identify, assess, and manage potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Implement strategies to mitigate risks related to information systems, networks, and applications.

• Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead a team of security analysts and professionals within the SOC.

  • Ensure effective training, development, and performance management of SOC staff.

• Incident Response & Recovery:

  • Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic investigations to identify the root cause of security breaches.

  • Develop and implement recovery plans to restore systems and operations in the event of a security incident.

• Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to cybersecurity.

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on SOC activities, incidents, and performance to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security, with a focus on Security Operations.

  • Experience in managing security operations teams and handling incident response.

• Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of security monitoring tools, incident response procedures, and network security protocols.

  • Familiarity with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex security incidents.

  • Proficient in network protocols, firewall configurations, and security compliance standards.
