Key Role Purpose
The ASM role focuses on developing and maintaining robust relationships with customers and distributors in the Chlor-Alkali sector, with a primary objective of meeting sales targets, ensuring customer satisfaction, and providing strategic market insights. The position is critical in supporting Engro’s business objectives and contributes directly to market share growth and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Sales Management: Oversee the sales of key products, including Caustic Soda Liquid, Caustic Soda Flakes, Hydrochloric Acid, and Sodium Hypochlorite. Regularly assess market dynamics and address gaps, collaborating with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for strategic alignment.
- Customer Engagement: Enhance customer satisfaction by maintaining high service standards. Build long-term relationships with customers at all organizational levels through structured and personalized visit plans.
- Market Expansion: Identify new customer opportunities to increase geographical presence and expand market coverage. Engage with trade associations to foster industry partnerships and improve customer outreach.
- Demand Assessment: Gather market intelligence to assess customer and market demand trends, identifying special requests to collaboratively develop responsive action plans.
- Team Reporting: Generate a consolidated market report on a weekly basis for the RSM, integrating insights from the team and providing a comprehensive overview of market trends.
- Funds Recovery: Ensure timely collection of funds in line with company policy, supporting financial stability within the designated area.
- SOP Compliance and Digitization: Uphold compliance with company SOPs, contributing to digitization and process improvement initiatives to streamline operations.
- Product Launch Support: Collaborate in the launch and execution strategy for new products, such as Hydrogen Peroxide, in alignment with market demand and company objectives.
Qualifications
- Education: BBA/MBA from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 3-4 years in sales, ideally within the B2B sector.
Skills & Competencies
- Market Insight: Ability to analyze and report on market trends.
- Customer Relations: Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, enabling effective customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Strategic Thinking: Capability to identify new business opportunities and work towards expanding geographical reach.
- Communication: Proficiency in conveying strategic information to the RSM and internal teams, ensuring alignment in sales efforts.
- Compliance & Digitization: An understanding of SOPs, with an interest in driving digital transformation within sales operations.
