The Head of Product Development will lead and oversee the entire product development lifecycle for nicotine pouches. This includes ensuring manufacturing excellence, driving innovation, and optimizing production processes. The role requires a strategic leader who can collaborate across departments to achieve business goals while adhering to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership in Product Development:
- Lead and manage all aspects of product development for nicotine pouches, including project planning, execution, and delivery.
- Oversee the implementation and qualification of manufacturing systems such as Integrated Work System (IWS) Phase 2.
- Optimization and Innovation:
- Deploy advanced data analysis methods to optimize production processes and enhance product quality.
- Implement lean manufacturing methodologies like PFMEA, DMAIC, and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement.
- Spearhead capacity enhancement projects, ensuring operational readiness for new production lines.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and quality control teams to ensure product success.
- Coordinate efforts in product development including flavor portfolio creation, recipe finalization, label artwork, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Lead cost reduction initiatives, including the localization of raw materials to reduce expenses.
- Enhance production staff capabilities through technical training and continuous improvement programs.
- Manage production scheduling, budget monitoring, resource allocation, and inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
- Experience:
- 8 to 12 years of experience in product development, particularly in manufacturing and process optimization.
