The Centre of Excellence in Solid State Physics at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, invites applications from qualified Pakistani Nationals for several academic positions on a contract/visiting/adjunct (per hour) basis.

Appointments will be for one year initially, extendable up to a maximum of three years based on performance.
All appointments will follow Higher Education Commission (HEC) eligibility criteria for Visiting/Adjunct Professors.

PhD degree in the relevant field (Solid State Physics, Physical Chemistry, or Bio-nanotechnology) from an HEC recognized university.
15 years of relevant teaching or research experience in an HEC recognized University/postgraduate Institution, OR
10 years post-PhD experience in teaching/research in a recognized University/postgraduate Institution or professional experience in a reputable national/international organization.
Minimum 15 research publications in HEC-recognized journals, with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years.
Contract Duration: Initial appointment for one year, extendable up to three years based on performance.
Age Relaxation: General relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided as per Government rules.
Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.
Incomplete Applications: Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will not be entertained.
TA/DA: No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
Right to Cancel: The Centre reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts or withhold recruitment without providing a reason.
Quota: Government quotas (where applicable) will be observed.
