Tri-Pack Films Limited, a key member of the Packages Group, is seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team as U&M Executives at our Port Qasim Plant in Karachi. Position: U&M Executives

Location: Port Qasim Plant, Karachi
Contract Type: Permanent
Reporting to: Assistant Manager

Key Accountabilities:

As a U&M Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our plant equipment and machinery. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance Activities: Perform corrective, proactive, preventive, and breakdown maintenance of utilities, electrical systems, plant, and auxiliaries as per the company’s Maintenance Plan & SOPs.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Address maintenance issues and repair machinery/equipment in line with technical standards and SOPs.
  • Inspections and Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections and condition monitoring of machinery, maintaining daily registers/logbooks for reporting purposes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the U&M, E&I, and production teams to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of troubleshooting methods and maintenance activities for future reference.
  • Workshop Equipment Maintenance: Ensure workshop equipment is maintained according to SOPs.
  • Spares Management: Communicate with the shift supervisor regarding the requirement for spare parts to keep equipment operational.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to company SOPs, SHE standards, protocols, and permits before undertaking any maintenance job.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors:

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Educational Background:
    • B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
    • DAE with significant relevant experience is also considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in repair and maintenance of machinery (Mechanical), ideally within a 24/7 operational manufacturing plant.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and engineering concepts.
    • Familiarity with bearings, belts, chillers, compressors, cooling towers, boilers, RO systems, gearboxes, and pumping systems.
    • Proficient use of lubricants and maintenance hand tools for diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
    • Basic MS Office proficiency.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Basic communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Strong teamwork abilities.
    • Initiative-taking and responsibility.
    • Attention to detail, motivation, consistency, flexibility, and adaptability to change.
  • Safety Standards: Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and protocols.
