Position: Team Lead – Employee & Labor Relations (ER/IR)

Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance & Strategy: Develop and implement Employee Labor Relations (ELR), Employee Relations/Industrial Relations (ER/IR) strategies to ensure compliance with labor laws, maintain zero non-conformances during internal and external audits, and ensure industrial peace.
- Government Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with government departments, ensuring all statutory labor requirements are met.
- Legal Representation: Act as the Management Representative in labor-related court cases and internal inquiry committees, representing the company’s interests effectively.
- Change Management: Provide support to the HR and Leadership Team from an ER/IR perspective during organizational changes, including employee engagement initiatives.
- Union Management: Lead negotiations and manage relations with Unions, Federations, and pressure groups, ensuring the timely resolution of demands and avoidance of legal disruptions.
- Agreement Management: Manage third-party labor and administrative service agreements, ensuring compliance with service-level agreements and addressing any non-conformities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in labor laws and ensure their timely implementation to avoid disruptions and non-conformance issues.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree; a Diploma in Labor Laws or Industrial Relations is preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role, preferably in a large manufacturing setup, focusing on blue-collar workforce management.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of labor legislation and compliance management.
- Experience in managing Collective Bargaining Agents (CBA) and union negotiations.
- Knowledge of compensation, benefits, rewards, recognition, and work administration processes.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and manage internal and external parties.
- Key Traits: Business partnering mindset, strong communication skills, and passion for high performance.
