Tri-Pack Films Limited, a part of the esteemed Packages Group, is seeking a Team Lead for Employee & Labor Relations (ER/IR). This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to manage employee and industrial relations in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Role Overview
The selected candidate will be responsible for driving and executing strategies related to employee and labor relations. Key areas of focus include compliance with labor laws, maintaining industrial harmony, managing union activities, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance and Legal Oversight:
- Lead compliance with statutory labor requirements and ensure alignment with internal and external inspections/audits.
- Act as the Management Representative in labor cases, inquiries, and court proceedings.
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute robust employee engagement plans, including strategies for third-party workforce management.
- Support HR and leadership teams in change management initiatives from an ER/IR perspective.
- Union and CBA Management:
- Handle unions, federations, and pressure groups.
- Lead collective bargaining negotiations and manage demands raised by the Collective Bargaining Agent (CBA).
- Ensure timely implementation of agreed demands to prevent disruptions.
- Government and Stakeholder Liaison:
- Maintain strong relationships with government departments and ensure compliance with labor legislation.
- Process Improvement and Benchmarking:
- Benchmark Compensation & Benefits (COD) perks and align them with organizational goals.
- Oversee the development and execution of COD in coordination with key departments.
- Service Agreements:
- Manage annual service agreements/SLAs for labor, administration, and HR at the plant level.
- Policy Updates:
- Implement legislative changes promptly to ensure continued compliance.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors
Educational Background:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
- A diploma in Labor Laws or Industrial Relations is preferred.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in employee and industrial relations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with CBA management, labor legislation, compliance, and blue-collar workforce affairs.
Key Skills:
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, compensation & benefits, and employee engagement strategies.
- Proficiency in managing unions, safety regulations, and HR processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
