Role Overview:

The Student Counsellor will be responsible for providing personalized counseling services to students to help them make informed decisions regarding their academic and career paths. This includes advising students on available educational programs, entrance requirements, and providing information about study opportunities abroad or within their local region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Student Guidance:

   • Offer counseling to students on their academic choices and career paths.

   • Provide information on various education programs, universities, and study options.

2. Application Assistance:

   • Help students with the application process for universities and courses.

   • Guide them through application forms, deadlines, and required documents.

3. Career Planning:

   • Assist students with career planning by providing advice on job prospects related to their field of study.

   • Help students understand the skills required for specific careers and provide information on how to pursue them.

4. Personalized Counseling:

   • Offer one-on-one sessions to address specific concerns or needs of students.

   • Provide support in overcoming challenges faced by students in their academic journey.

Key Competencies:

• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and educational institutions.

• Counseling Experience: Experience in providing guidance, especially in academic and career-related topics.

• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage student records, applications, and documentation.

• Problem-Solving: Strong ability to help students resolve academic or personal challenges.

• Empathy and Patience: A compassionate approach to guiding students through critical decisions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

  • A relevant degree (preferably in education, psychology, or counseling).

• Experience:

  • Previous experience as a student counselor or in a similar advisory role is preferred.

  • Strong background in academic or career guidance.
