📋 Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Officer Curriculum, you will be responsible for enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in History and Geography through strong curriculum development, monitoring, and teacher support.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in developing and designing the History & Geography curriculum for Middle and Senior levels

• Monitor and ensure effective implementation of the curriculum across relevant classes

• Design and develop daily lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments, and instructional materials

• Organize and conduct training sessions and workshops for teachers to improve instructional practices

• Support stakeholders in understanding and delivering the curriculum efficiently

• Ensure all academic processes and curriculum development activities comply with UCS policies and academic guidelines

• Evaluate and revise curriculum plans based on student performance and feedback

🎓 Qualification & Experience

• Education:

  • Master’s degree in Education or a related field from a recognized institution (or equivalent qualification)

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in:

    • Developing and managing History & Geography curriculum

    • Teaching History and/or Geography at Middle or Senior level

🎯 Skills Required

• Language Proficiency:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Subject Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of History and Geography concepts appropriate for Middle and Senior levels

  • Expert knowledge in curriculum designing, implementation, and evaluation for these subjects

  • Professional knowledge of:

    • Assessment techniques and principles of test measurement

    • Instructional material design and development

    • Handling academic issues like plagiarism detection

• Training & Development:

  • Ability to design and conduct professional development sessions for History & Geography teachers
