Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Executive will be responsible for implementing food safety and quality requirements at the company’s distribution centre. The role includes handling regional complaints, conducting customer visits to identify root causes, ensuring regulatory and quality standards at company-owned outlets, and training staff in the region. This is an excellent opportunity for those with a background in food science, particularly those with experience in the poultry sector and cold-chain quality management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Safety & Quality Assurance:

  • Implement food-safety and quality requirements at the distribution centre.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and food-safety standards at K&N’s outlets.

  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality standards and ensure safety protocols are followed.

• Complaint Handling:

  • Handle and address customer complaints within the region.

  • Visit customer locations to identify the root cause of complaints and resolve issues effectively.

• Staff Training & Development:

  • Provide training to staff on food safety, quality management, and company standards.

  • Ensure that all team members are well-equipped to handle quality and safety requirements.

• Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all products and practices meet the necessary regulatory standards for safety and quality.

• Reporting:

  • Document quality assurance findings and report them to senior management.

  • Collaborate with various teams to improve operational standards.

Job Requirements:

• Education:

  • BSc (Hons) / MSc (Hons) in Food Science and Technology from a recognized university.

• Experience:

  • 4-5 years of hands-on experience in the food industry, with a focus on cold-chain quality management.

  • Experience in the poultry sector is preferred.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve issues.

  • Ability to handle customer complaints and work in a high-pressure environment.
