🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

• Certifications in Quality Assurance / Control such as:

  • ASQ (Certified Quality Engineer)

  • AWS (Welding Inspector)

  • API (American Petroleum Institute)

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

As the QC Engineer (Mechanical – Piping & Structure), you will play a vital role in ensuring the structural and piping components are engineered, installed, and maintained in line with international standards.

🔍 Quality Assurance & Inspection

• Inspect piping systems, structural steelwork, and mechanical components during installation and fabrication stages

• Verify conformance to engineering drawings, project specifications, and international codes (ASME, API, ASTM)

📋 QA/QC Documentation & Reporting

• Develop and maintain quality documents including:

  • Quality Inspection Plans (QIP)

  • Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)

  • Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)

  • Fabrication and welding reports

• Prepare detailed inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and maintain QA/QC records

📦 Material & Equipment Checks

• Inspect incoming mechanical materials and equipment for compliance with technical specs

• Tag, log, and isolate non-compliant items for corrective action

🛡️ Safety & Standards Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to industrial safety standards throughout construction, installation, and commissioning

• Promote safe practices and coordinate with the HSE team

🔄 Process Improvement

• Suggest and implement quality improvements in fabrication, welding, and structural assembly processes

• Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve workflows

📘 Key Knowledge & Technical Skills

• ✅ Sound understanding of standards: ASME, API, ASTM, and related mechanical codes

• ✅ Experience with welding inspections, NDT techniques, and fabrication procedures

• ✅ Strong analytical and technical documentation skills

• ✅ Familiarity with QA/QC tools and inspection instruments

• ✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other design software is a plus

• ✅ Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work cross-functionally
