Currently, K&N’s is looking for a PHP Developer to join their team based in Karachi. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for developing high-performance applications in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview:

The PHP Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems for K&N’s web applications. This includes working with PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript to build and maintain dynamic websites, e-commerce platforms, and internal tools. The role requires expertise in web development technologies and frameworks, and a strong understanding of website performance, security, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Web Development: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend systems using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and MVC frameworks.

• Database Management: Manage and optimize MySQL databases to ensure smooth data flow and interactions.

• Front-End Development: Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate backend systems with user-facing elements using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

• WordPress & WooCommerce: Customize and extend WordPress and WooCommerce functionalities to meet business requirements, ensuring SEO optimization and security.

• E-Marketing Integration: Work with e-marketing platforms like iContact, HubSpot, SharpSpring, and SurveyMonkey to automate marketing processes.

• Security & Performance: Implement best practices for web security, ensure website performance optimization, and troubleshoot any issues with codebases.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features and ensure technical consistency across projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Requirements:

  • BCS or BS in Computer Science from a recognized university.

• Experience:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in web development, particularly with PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.

  • Expertise in MVC-driven frameworks and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

  • Deep understanding of WordPress, WooCommerce, post management, SEO best practices, and security protocols.

  • Experience with e-marketing and marketing automation platforms like iContact, HubSpot, SharpSpring, and SurveyMonkey is highly desirable.

  • Comfortable working with both procedural and object-oriented PHP codebases.
