Job Opportunity: Manager/Senior Manager – Plant Operations at Master Group of Industries
Master Group of Industries, a key player in the energy sector, is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager – Plant Operations to join their team. This pivotal role will be based at the Wind Farm Site in Jhimpir/Jamshoro, where the successful candidate will be instrumental in overseeing the operational activities of the plant.
The Manager/Senior Manager – Plant Operations will report directly to the General Manager of Plant Operations and will be responsible for enhancing operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and ensuring optimal plant availability. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, effective communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of wind farm operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed operational records, including work orders and site inspection forms, on a daily, monthly, and annual basis.
Performance Tracking:
Track and document key metrics related to wind operations, such as performance statistics, downtime events, parts usage, and substation activities.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all plant facilities comply with health and safety regulations and legal requirements.
Emergency Management:
Promptly address and manage emergency situations while continuously monitoring operations and initiating corrective actions as needed.
Production Oversight:
Supervise the plant’s production output and provide timely solutions to the operations team to resolve performance-related issues.
Supervision of Activities:
Oversee electrical, mechanical, and civil activities at the plant site.
Cost Estimates:
Contribute to the development of operational cost estimates and manpower requirements.
Training Coordination:
Facilitate or coordinate the training of personnel in operational procedures, safety protocols, environmental regulations, and technical competencies.
Strategic Advice:
Provide strategic advice to management on future developments, aligning with the organization’s long-term business objectives.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the departmental budget while monitoring expenditures for efficient and cost-effective operations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Conduct meetings with local stakeholders to address and resolve any arising issues and coordinate with power purchasers for compliance under the Energy Purchase Agreement (EPA).
Certification Procurement:
Obtain the Fitness Certificate from the Electrical Inspectorate of Hyderabad.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with PEC registration. PMP Certification is required.
Experience:
10-12 years of practical experience in Power Plant Operations.
Technical Expertise:
Strong analytical and technical skills, with proven experience in maintenance and problem-solving.
Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Physical Capability:
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Multi-tasking Ability:
Strong capacity to handle pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
