About the Role

The Manager Maintenance will play a pivotal role in overseeing the maintenance of all plant machinery, ensuring maximum equipment availability, and implementing a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of engineering and maintenance concepts, backed by extensive hands-on experience in the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee corrective and preventive maintenance activities on shop floors to minimize downtime.
• Manage inventory of critical spares, backups, and ensure compliance with SOPs for stock levels.
• Plan budgets for repairs, maintenance, spares, refurbishment, and capital expenditures (CapEx).
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for breakdowns and implement strategies to prevent recurrence.
• Develop specifications for equipment and spares, and liaise with purchasing and storage departments for procurement.
• Train and lead the maintenance team to enhance skills and ensure operational excellence.
• Maintain a culture of continuous improvement to achieve enhanced machine efficiency and cost savings.
• Forecast equipment requirements and plan for long-term operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile

Educational Requirements:

• BE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.

Experience:

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance activities in a large manufacturing setup.

Skills:

• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Deep knowledge of engineering and mechanical concepts.
• Proven ability to lead a team and foster a culture of innovation and improvement.
• Proficiency in inventory management, process optimization, and budgeting.
