🧾 Job Summary

As the Manager FSD, you will oversee and manage the hospital’s catering services, ensuring high-quality food service for both staff and patients. This role will involve managing human and financial resources, developing and implementing strategic plans, and maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and nutritional quality.


💼 Key Responsibilities

  • Overall Catering Service Management: Oversee and manage all catering operations, including staff coordination and food service delivery.

  • Contingency Planning: Develop and implement robust contingency plans to address potential challenges in food service delivery.

  • Safety Standards: Ensure that food is cooked and served in compliance with food safety guidelines and hospital standards.

  • Hygiene & Health Compliance: Monitor hygiene practices and ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as per hospital policies.

  • Nutritional Planning: Work with dieticians to meet nutritional requirements for patients.

  • Menu & Budgeting: Estimate food consumption and manage the procurement of ingredients, review menus, analyze recipes for cost control, and assign prices to menu items.

  • Employee Management: Guide and manage staff, monitor their performance, and ensure compliance with hospital rules and regulations.

  • Operational Efficiency: Identify areas for improving service performance, safety, and quality, and implement necessary changes.


🎓 Requirements

Academic Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)

Professional Qualification:

  • Relevant courses or diplomas in food service management or hospitality

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in a hospital or hospitality environment

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build relationships with patients, staff, and vendors

  • Food Production Expertise: In-depth knowledge of food production and catering services

  • Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve issues promptly

  • Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and ensure operational efficiency
