As the Manager – Security Hardening & Configuration, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and hardening security systems to safeguard MCB Bankās information infrastructure. You will work to identify potential security vulnerabilities, proactively apply security patches, and ensure that all systems are secured against external and internal threats. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of the bank’s IT environment.
Security Hardening: Apply security configurations and hardening techniques to all systems, servers, and applications within the organization to reduce vulnerabilities and enhance security.
Configuration Management: Oversee the configuration of security tools and systems to ensure they meet industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Risk Assessment: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential security risks in the bankās infrastructure and operations.
Patch Management: Ensure that security patches are timely and accurately applied to all systems and applications to maintain up-to-date security defenses.
Incident Response: Collaborate with the security operations team to address any security incidents or breaches, ensuring swift recovery and minimal disruption.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure that security configurations align with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with IT, network security, and infrastructure teams to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place across the organization.
Bachelorās degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in IT security, system configuration, and security hardening.
Experience working in the banking or financial services sector is highly preferred.
Cybersecurity Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and security hardening techniques.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in security tools and platforms, including firewalls, antivirus, encryption technologies, and security event management tools.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities through hardening and configuration best practices.
Analytical Skills: Excellent ability to assess security configurations, identify risks, and take appropriate action.
Communication: Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and report security issues to senior management.
