Master Group of Industries is looking for an experienced HSE Officer to join their team and ensure workplace safety and environmental compliance. The role is pivotal in maintaining a safe working environment by conducting regular inspections, risk assessments, training, and implementing corrective measures in line with national HSE laws, standards, and company policies.
As an HSE Officer, you will be responsible for identifying hazards, ensuring safety practices, and overseeing safety training while ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations. The role will also require close coordination with other departments to ensure a proactive approach towards risk management.
Compliance and Inspections:
Ensure adherence to national Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) laws, standards, and company policies by conducting regular inspections and audits.
Incident Reporting & Management:
Maintain detailed records of incidents, injuries, and illnesses. Ensure timely reporting to management and regulatory bodies.
Risk Assessments & Job Safety Analysis (JSA):
Perform regular risk assessments and JSA for activities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Training & Awareness:
Plan and deliver HSE induction programs, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions for employees and contractors.
Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and test emergency response plans, including fire drills and spill response procedures, ensuring all staff are adequately prepared.
Incident Investigation:
Support investigations of accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to ensure safety measures are improved.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to management, highlighting trends, issues, and areas for improvement in safety standards.
Educational Requirements:
Graduation/BS in Environment, Safety Management, or a related field.
Experience Requirements:
3-4 years of relevant experience in an HSE role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Skills:
Knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and standards.
Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
Experience with HSE audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
Ability to lead safety training and risk management programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE software tools.
