This role demands a strong balance between creative leadership, commercial strategy, and operational execution. The ideal candidate will oversee the full lifecycle of product design—ranging from concept to retail execution—while ensuring that visual merchandising aligns with evolving consumer trends, brand aesthetics, and business goals.
Lead end-to-end design of furniture, mattresses, and accessories—from initial concept to final product.
Define seasonal design themes and ensure they align with consumer trends, market demands, and brand positioning.
Manage prototyping, material selection, ergonomics, sustainability, and manufacturing considerations.
Coordinate with R&D, engineering, sourcing, and production teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
Champion product innovation while maintaining quality and durability standards.
Create high-impact visual merchandising strategies for retail showrooms that enhance the customer experience.
Develop and enforce visual merchandising guidelines, floor plans, product zoning, and planograms.
Lead the creative direction of seasonal displays, promotions, and in-store campaigns.
Oversee spatial planning including showroom layouts, lighting schemes, signage placement, and display techniques.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, retail operations, and branding to ensure seamless execution.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, or Visual Merchandising from a recognized institution.
Experience: At least 10 years of experience in furniture product design and visual merchandising, ideally in a leadership capacity.
Proven ability to take products from concept to retail-ready stage.
Familiarity with the full product development lifecycle and consumer-centered design strategies.
Expertise in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Strong project management and cross-functional coordination capabilities.
Deep understanding of customer psychology, market trends, and merchandising techniques.
Strategic thinker with a creative eye and an ability to translate brand values into tangible design.
Leadership and team management experience in a creative or design-led function.
