Position Overview:

As an EHS Officer, you will be responsible for promoting and enforcing safety protocols within the Packages Mall premises. The role involves conducting risk assessments, managing safety procedures, and ensuring that all safety practices are followed meticulously to create a safe environment for employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Management:

  • Assist the line manager in executing the Zero Safety Loss agenda by implementing and monitoring safety protocols.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure preventative measures are in place to mitigate potential hazards.

• Workplace Inspections:

  • Inspect work sites and personnel to identify unsafe situations or non-compliance with safety regulations (e.g., failure to use protective equipment).

  • Deploy effective safety controls to ensure the wellbeing of personnel and maintain a safe work environment.

• Incident Reporting & Documentation:

  • Ensure that all safety-related incidents are reported and documented accurately.

  • Maintain safety KPIs and present them in a clear and organized format for management review.

• Promote Safe Practices:

  • Proactively identify hazardous situations and take necessary actions to eliminate them.

  • Foster a safety-conscious culture by educating and encouraging employees to follow safe work practices.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors:

• Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.

  • Certifications in NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, and BLS are highly preferred.

• Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in safety, preferably in construction projects or large-scale organizations.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and emergency response procedures.

• Skills:

  • Proficient in report writing and documenting safety incidents.

  • Strong understanding of incident investigation and emergency response readiness.

  • Experience in EHS training and promoting workplace safety.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for training and interacting with personnel.
