As a Design Lead at COLABS, you will play a pivotal role in defining the design direction for both our physical spaces and digital platforms, ensuring a seamless and inspiring experience for our community.
As the Design Lead, you will be responsible for the following:
Conceptualizing and Leading Design Projects:
Lead the design process for new projects and design initiatives across both digital and physical spaces.
Ensure the creative direction aligns with COLABS’ brand vision and values.
Creative Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and the leadership team, to bring innovative ideas to life.
Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and contractors to create visually appealing and functional workspaces.
Design Strategy & Vision:
Drive the design strategy for COLABS’ community spaces, digital presence, and marketing materials.
Maintain consistency in design across all touchpoints.
User-Centered Design:
Develop a design approach that prioritizes user experience, ensuring that the design resonates with the needs and expectations of COLABS’ diverse community.
Conduct user research and feedback sessions to refine design approaches.
Managing Design Process & Execution:
Oversee the execution of design concepts, from initial sketches to final delivery.
Ensure all design projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Mentoring Junior Designers:
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior design team members, fostering a collaborative and creative team culture.
To succeed in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
Educational Background:
A degree in Design, Fine Arts, Architecture, or a related field.
Additional certifications or workshops in design thinking, user experience, or interior design are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in design roles, with a proven track record of leading design projects.
Prior experience in a creative or coworking environment is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or other relevant software.
Experience with 3D design software and familiarity with architectural design tools is an advantage.
A deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with different teams and clients.
Strong attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics.
