Transworld is a leading company providing advanced telecommunication services and solutions. They are looking to hire a talented Deputy Manager for their Fiber Deployment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire fiber deployment process, from planning to installation and final handover, while ensuring that all operations align with the company’s quality and safety standards.
As the Deputy Manager for Fiber Deployment, your role will encompass the following key responsibilities:
End-to-End GPON Fiber Deployment: Lead the deployment process, including surveying, planning, installation, and handover to ensure the smooth execution of fiber optic network projects.
Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for all projects to ensure transparency and track progress.
Team Supervision: Oversee and motivate field teams, engineers, and contractors to meet project key performance indicators (KPIs).
Coordination: Work closely with design, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure that resources are available for timely deployment.
Vendor and Contractor Management: Liaise with vendors, contractors, and relevant authorities to ensure that projects are completed on time and comply with all regulations and standards.
Quality Control: Conduct site audits and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the deployment process.
Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress updates, budget tracking, and reports to senior management to keep them informed about project status.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation plans to resolve issues and avoid delays.
Compliance: Ensure that all field operations comply with health, safety, and company policies.
Customer Satisfaction: Address and resolve customer escalations promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Fiber Optic Installation: Strong expertise in fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage full project lifecycles, including budgeting and timeline management.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices for fiber optic network deployment.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera. Familiarity with GIS/network planning tools is a plus.
Team Leadership: Strong leadership skills to effectively manage teams and contractors, ensuring the achievement of project KPIs.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in fiber optic deployment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
