About the Role

As the Deputy Manager – Maintenance & Utilities, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical mechanical systems. This includes compressors, pumps, motors, hot water generators, and diesel generators. You will also oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs, lead a skilled mechanical team, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Your expertise will contribute to maintaining operational excellence while upholding health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• System Oversight: Manage operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, including compressors, motors, pumps, and generators.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and guide the mechanical team to address challenges effectively.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• SOP Development: Create and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system operations and maintenance.
• Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analyses for system failures and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Project Management: Handle mechanical engineering projects, budgets, and coordination with vendors for upgrades and repairs.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to safety and regulatory standards, including HSE protocols.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Educational Background: A B.Eng or B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 10–12 years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance activities. Experience in a large manufacturing setup will be highly regarded.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and engineering concepts.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
