Key Accountabilities:

As the Center Incharge – Corn Storage, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing corn storage operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Farmer Development:
  • Develop relationships with progressive and commercial farmers within your assigned area to ensure the quality and traceability of corn production.
• Traceability Management:
  • Ensure complete traceability of the grower’s certificate, corn hybrid, and crop growing processes.
• Data Management:
  • Accurately record relevant data and arrange monthly supplier meetings to maintain open lines of communication and address any issues.
• Storage Techniques:
  • Work on improving storage techniques for corn grain and identify potential rental storage sites that meet site selection criteria.
• Market Analysis:
  • Conduct daily visits to local markets and mandi to record price trends and grain arrival patterns.
• Grain Procurement:
  • Oversee the procurement of grain from growers and commission agents at respective collection sites during the season.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Educational Background:
  • A Diploma in Agricultural Sciences is required.
• Experience:
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in agriculture or grain storage management.
• Skills:
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to devise and implement effective strategies.
  • Analytical Skills: Capable of analyzing data and trends for informed decision-making.
  • Judgment: Sound judgment in making decisions that impact operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Proficiency in identifying issues and developing solutions.
