The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution. This individual will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and supporting data transformation and application development projects.
You will work closely with data engineers, product teams, and developers to ensure accurate, timely, and meaningful delivery of technical solutions that support the organization’s strategic goals.
Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements, including user stories and epics with a focus on data sources, data quality, and accessibility.
Translate business objectives into clearly defined functional and non-functional requirements.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data flow diagrams, use case scenarios, and system maps.
Collaborate with data engineers, product associates, and developers to ensure technical alignment with business goals.
Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring data transformation projects.
Identify, communicate, and manage risks and dependencies within data projects.
Contribute to the development of project proposals, reports, and stakeholder presentations.
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in:
Business Administration
Information Systems
Software Engineering
Computer Science
Or a related field
✔ 2–4 years of relevant experience, ideally on data-centric projects
✔ A proven track record of working with cross-functional teams on data and application development initiatives
✅ Proficiency in SQL and data querying
✅ Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
✅ Experience with project and documentation tools, such as:
JIRA, Confluence
Wireframing tools like Figma, Balsamiq, Draw.io
Flowchart and diagram tools such as Lucidchart, MS Visio
✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal collaboration skills
✅ Ability to think critically, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
