As the Biomass Development Manager, you will spearhead initiatives to identify and secure cost-effective biomass materials, manage operations, and build robust supply chains to support BSP’s goals of sustainability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Identification: Recognize new potential sites for biomass development within respective regions.
- Alternate Fuel Strategies: Develop cost-effective alternative fuels aligned with demand forecasts and market prices.
- Operational Management: Oversee purchase center operations, including stacking, shredding, and baling activities.
- Supply Chain Planning: Plan and schedule biomass material supply on a quarterly basis across designated zones.
- Supplier Negotiations: Engage with commercial farmers and suppliers to ensure consistent and high-quality material supplies.
- Collection Modes: Evaluate collection strategies within zones while adhering to budgets and operational objectives.
- Supplier Development: Foster supplier relationships, allocate supply areas, and mitigate price conflicts within zones.
- Shredding and Baling: Collaborate with planners to optimize shredding and baling activities.
- Transportation Coordination: Negotiate transportation solutions with the logistics team to streamline supply chains.
- Budget Management: Prepare budgets and track quarterly performance metrics against planned values.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors
To succeed in this role, candidates should exhibit the following:
- Education: 16 years of education in Agriculture (Bachelor’s or equivalent).
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with SAP.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies.
