Title: Assistant Operations Engineer – Utilities
Location: EPCL Plant, Port Qasim, Karachi

Job Purpose
The Assistant Operations Engineer will oversee the safe and efficient operations of the Utilities Area. This role requires ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and production objectives while maintaining the smooth functioning of critical utilities operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Manage utilities areas such as demineralized water systems, cooling towers, IA/PA/N2 units, package boilers, diesel generators, and MCC.
- Compliance and Safety: Follow SOPs, HSE guidelines, and support organizational digitization and audit compliance goals.
- Team Collaboration: Assist SIC (Shift In Charge) and DCS engineers in ensuring smooth operations.
- Customer Interaction and Reporting:
- Monitor PVC resin sales and identify performance gaps.
- Provide weekly market updates on customer insights and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with Sales Officers and Regional Sales Managers to resolve customer issues and meet sales targets.
- Market Growth: Expand the portfolio by onboarding new customers and increasing geographical outreach.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- DAE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, F.Sc., or a related graduate degree.
- Experience:
- 5 to 8 years in utilities operations, including expertise in demineralized water systems, cooling towers, package boilers, diesel generators, and related areas.
