The company is currently seeking an Assistant Lead Supply Chain to join their Supply Chain team in Karachi. The role will focus on overseeing the procurement process and ensuring a smooth supply chain operation, essential for maintaining the efficiency of the company’s production processes.


Job Responsibilities:

As the Assistant Lead Supply Chain, you will be responsible for:

  • Procurement Management: Oversee the purchase of raw materials, spares, and services for the CD Karachi Plant. You will ensure the seamless operation of the plant by maintaining optimal inventory levels and managing the procurement of materials.

  • Vendor and Service Provider Coordination: Liaise with service providers to ensure high-quality relationships, timely deliveries, and meeting quality standards. You will be responsible for maintaining strong partnerships with vendors and ensuring that services are provided as per contract agreements.

  • Competitive Sourcing: Procure materials and services at competitive prices while ensuring on-time delivery and appropriate location alignment to meet operational needs. You will analyze market trends to negotiate better deals for the company.

  • Scrap Management: Effectively manage scrap contracts, ensuring timely execution and maximizing the value of contracts. The role involves ensuring that scrap is efficiently handled and processed to meet company goals.

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with alternative vendors, focusing on cost reduction strategies and ensuring the uninterrupted supply of materials for ongoing operations.

  • Stock Management: Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels for critical spare parts to minimize plant downtime and ensure smooth production flow.


Skills and Expertise:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering is required.

  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for efficient reporting and data management.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, as the role requires frequent interaction with suppliers and internal teams.
