Dr. Ziauddin Hospital, a leading healthcare institution, is inviting passionate individuals to join their team as Trainee Technologists in the Clinical Laboratory. This position offers a great learning opportunity for those interested in clinical and biochemical testing, under the supervision of experienced staff.
As a Trainee Technologist, you will work closely with the Assistant/Staff Technologists to perform routine technical procedures, including clinical and biochemical tests. You will be integral in ensuring the timely preparation of accurate reports, contributing to the overall success of the laboratory.
Routine Technical Procedures:
Under the supervision of the In-charge/Supervisor, you will perform daily clinical and biochemical tests, adhering to the laboratory protocols and policies.
Sample Processing:
Confirm that all samples are collected, prepared, and processed in accordance with the laboratory’s guidelines to maintain the highest quality of service.
Safety Compliance:
Assist in the implementation of safety regulations as outlined in the Laboratory Safety Manual to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and patients.
Training Support:
Support the In-charge/Supervisor in training new trainees and students as per the laboratory’s protocols when required.
Control Testing:
Ensure that appropriate positive and negative controls are run with each test or batch as per the test requirements and laboratory policy.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the In-charge/Supervisor to contribute to the smooth operation of the laboratory.
Laboratory Testing Procedures:
Good understanding of laboratory testing procedures and ability to follow standard protocols for accurate results.
Instruction Following:
Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively to ensure procedures are correctly carried out.
Teamwork:
Strong ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with other laboratory staff and contributing to a positive work environment.
Academic Qualification:
B.Sc. in Biological Sciences is required.
M.Sc. is preferred.
Professional Qualification:
One year of training or diploma in Medical Technology is required.
Work Experience:
At least 1 year of traineeship at Clinical Laboratories of Ziauddin University Hospital or 2-3 years of relevant experience in a laboratory or hospital setting is preferred, but not essential.
